هذا كتاب عرفان، كتاب ثناء وكتاب غضب واحتجاج أيضاً... عرفان لكلّ من كتب كلمة بحقّ الكاتب والناقد والمفكّر والعالم قاسم عبد الأمير عجام، وأدار ندوة ونظم أمسية عن سيرته وإنجازه وفكره؛ عرفان بجهد زملاء من كتّاب ومثقّفين شهقوا ألماً على إغتيال قاسم، وصاحوا غاضبين أنّ الطلقة، الّتي حفرت ثقباً في جبهته، كانت إشارة إلى حملة للنيل من رأس العراق وعقله، فالإثنين الأسود: السابع عشر من أيّار/ مايو 2004 كان إعلاناً عن حملة لتصفية علماء العراق ومثقّفيه وكتّابه وصحافيّيه، حملة لتصفية لحرّاس الضمير العراقيّ.
وهذا كتاب ثناء على سيرة عطرة وشخصيّة تحتذى، ليس لأنّ صاحبها هو أخي وحسب، بل لأنّها سيرة نقاء وسط أجواء آسنة، سيرة محبّة وسط أجواء متدفقة من الكراهية، سيرة عطاء ونكران للذات في زمن شيوع قيم الأنانيّة، سيرة حريّة رغم جدران العبوديّة، سيرة علم ومعرفة، سيرة بناء في وقت منذور بالكامل للهدم، سيرة شخصيّة تختصر - في نهايتها - العراق في سعيه إلى حريّته.
وهو كتاب غضب واحتجاج على كلّ مؤسّسة ونظام ومجموعة عملت وخططت وسعت ونفّذت مشروع إغتيال العراق الحرّ الآمن، عبر قتل عقله وضميره وفكره وحرّاس روحه، عبر إغتيال المفكرين والكتّاب والصحافيّين والعلماء والمهندسين والأطبّاء في حملة دونها كل أوصاف الظلام والهمجيّة، مثلما هو كتاب غضب على كلّ جهة مسؤولة في العراق ممّن قصّرت وتوانت وغضّت النظر لا عن قتلة قاسم وحسب، بل عن عدم وقفها أو عملها على وقف دولاب موت وقتل وحشيّ ما انفكّ يدور ويدور على مفكّرين وعلماء وأدباء وأصحاب ضمير، حتى قارب ضحاياه الألف منذ ربيع العام 2003.
