كونه شاعراً عاشقاً, يعشق الشعر واللغة والموسيقى, ويعشق الحياة بكل مفاتنها النائية والدانية,
ولد عام 1951 في زبقين من قضاء صور .
أنهى دراسته الابتدائية في مدرسة القرية, والثانوية في صور, ثم حصل على شهادة الكفاءة في اللغة العربية وآدابها من كلية التربية
الجامعة اللبنانية 1973.
عمل بالتدريس بثانوية صور حتى 1982 , وثانوية المصيطبة في بيروت حتى 1988,

أعد برامج إذاعية متنوعة في عدد من الإذاعات اللبنانية الرسمية والخاصة, كما أعد برامج تلفزيونية ثقافية في تلفزيون لبنان الرسمي.
له مساهمات في العديد من الصحف والمجلات, أبرزها: الآداب اللبنانية,

كيف لي أن أقود مظاهرةً من خطاي القديمةِ، نحو الصبيِّ الذي شاخ في داخلي، أن أناديه من عتْمةِ الأقبيهْ، هل أنا أنت، أم نحن وجهانِ لا يجريان، إلى غايةٍ او هدفْ؟، وَمَنْ نحن؟، مَنْ يصرخُ الآن فينا، الظِّلالُ أم الأصل؟، أم أننا نقطة المنتصفْ، بين ما لا يجيءُ وما لا يعودْ؟.
