يضيء هذا الكتاب علي سيرة حياة وفن الفنان التشكيلي العراقي "رافع الناصري" الذي ينتمي إلى جيل الستينيات تبعاً لتقسيم الحركات الأدبية والفنية إلى أجيال. حيث تشكل مجموعة الستين برأي النقاد الجيل الثالث من الحركة الفنية المعاصرة في العراق.
وفي عملها هذا تقترب "مي مظفر" من جرح فني وعلَم بارز في تاريخ الحركة التشكيلية في العراق، إنه "رافع الناصري" حفار ورسام غني عن التعريف جهوده تتحدث عنه، هي خمسون عاماً من العمل الدؤوب كرسها الفنان رافع الناصري في البحث الجمالي والإنتاج الفني الخصب، في سعي دؤوب إلى إمتلاك خصوصية فنية تتميز بمهارة عالية وقدرة على التعبير أكثر.
يواكب هذا الكتاب فضلاً عن السيرة الشخصية للفنان الناصري، صور الأعمال التي توثق تجربة الفنان وتواكبها في جميع مراحل حياته الفنية، بدءاً من نشأته الأولى واتباعه الأساليب الأكاديمية حيث درس الفن والذي يبرز فيه عشقه لفنون الصين وتاريخها الفني، وصولاً للمراحل التجريدية المتوالدة الأخيرة وتقسيمها تبعاً لكل حقبة.
