تشكل العلاقة بين الشعبين الكردي والأرمني نقطة فارقة في تاريخ كلا الشعبين، وخاصةً في الجانب الكردي فيها نقاط بارزة ومضيئة بل مشرقة، وفيها نقاط داكنة ورمادية وربما سوداء، ولكن الظروف حكمت ولا تزال تحكم عليهما بضرورة التعايش المشترك، ليس بسبب الروابط والعلاقات التاريخية التي تعود إلى أكثر من ثلاثة آلاف عام، ولا نتيجة المصالح المشتركة، ولكن بحكم الجغرافية المتداخلة التي تجمع الشعبين الكردي والأرمني وغيرهما من الشعوب في منطقة محددة ومتداخلة من العالم.
