الباحث ناجح المعموري ولعله بموضوعه الخلود في الأساطير وجمع المعلومات عنها الانتباه إلى مجمع الآلهة في الديانة القديمة والذي لعب دوراً هاماً معروفاً في ملحمة جلجامش مثلاً حيث قرر مصير انكيدو، بشيء من العسف والظلم. كذلك موقف آنو المعروف مع آدابا في أسطورته. لقد دفعه هذا الموقف وتلك الأهمية التي تتمتع بها الآلهة وسط مجلسها إلى متابعتها وتدوين المعلومات عنها والعناصر المكونة لها والوظائف المناطة بها، مع تحولاتها ومتغيراتها التي تحصل بشكل موضوعي بين المراحل الحضارية.
وابتدأ بتدوين البطاقات ومن مصادر القراءة المتنوعة، حتى تجمع لديه عدد كبير من البطاقات وفكرت التركيز على مجلس الآلهة فقط. لأن محاولة إحصاء كل الآهلة، مسؤولية صعبة ومعقدة جداً، تحتاج إلى فريق عمل متكامل.
لذا شرع بأعداد مسرد عن الآلهة في بابل وآشور مستعيناً بالبطاقات المتوفرة لدي. ولم يدون المصادر تحت مسرد كل إله من الآلهة لأنها كثيرة جداً وتقطع على القارئ متعة الاسترسال والتدفق في القراءة.
وهو يعتقد أنه قد قدم جهداً، عانت بسببه الكثير من المتاعب، عند الإطلاع على المصادر ونقل المعلومات وتوحيد البطاقات وصياغتها ومحاولة الحفاظ على إطارها المعلوماتي الخاص بالديانة القديمة وأمله أن يكن هذا الجهد البسيط مساعداً للقراء والدارسين المولعين بتأريخ الحضارة والديانات القديمة، وسيظل هذا المشروع قابلاً للنمو والتطةر كلما سنحت له الفرصة للحصول على المعلومات الجديدة من خلال المصادر أو من القراء.
شكلت أساطير الآلهة في بلاد الرافدين نبعاً غزيراً للإبداع الفني والأدبي الذي انتشر في كل بقاع العالم وترك تأثيرات واسعة على الأساطير والإبداعات الإنسانية، وكانت هدفاً للدارسين والباحثين على اختلاف انتماءاتهم.
