وأهمية هذا العمل ليس فقط في زيادات على نصوص الروايات بل فيما أحدثته هذه الزيادات من إيضاحات لغوية وأبحاث مستفيضة وعميقة قامت بها العالمة ستيفاني دالي فكشفت النقاب عن كثير من الغموض في اللغة والإشارات. وأيضاً من أهم صفات هذا المؤلف، هي تلك المقدمات التاريخية العميقة لجميع النصوص. إضافة إلى الملاحظات القيمة التي تميز هذا الكتاب بفارق كبير عن كل سابق له في هذا الموضوع.
