هذه مختارات من مقالات نشرت في مناسبات سابقة، أو من خطب ألقيت في إحتفالات تذكارية، تكريماً لبعض أقطاب الفكر والعدالة.
ويربط هذه المختارات جامع مشترك، هو دلالتها على عظمة تراثنا الفقهي وزخر نتاجنا الفكري، عبر مسيرة قوافل تاريخنا المجيد، وهي، على تواضعها وإنجازها، إنما جمعت للإعتراف بفضل أولئك الأقطاب وبوجاهتهم العلمية، ثم لتكون مثالاً نموذجياً، يصوّر بعض النواحي اللامعة من صفحات تاريخنا الحضاري.
وإن هذا الطابع النموذجي، بالإضافة إلى المناسبات الخاصة بكل من هذه المقالات، والخطب، يبرر إختيارها من دون غيرها التي قد تضاهيها أو تفوقها قيمة ودلالة، كما يبرر إيجاز بعضها.
ثم إن هذا الإيجاز بالذات لا يخلو من فائدة، لما يحتويه من التنويه بالنظريات والإجتهادات الأصيلة، التي قد تلبي رغبة المثقفين غير المتخصصين، ولما فيها على كل حال، من تشويق الجيل الصاعد إلى الإستزادة من التعمق في مناهل تراثنا القيم، الذي لا ينكر إسهامه في بناء الحضارة العالمية وفي تطويرها الإنساني.
ولا بد من الإشارة إلى أن بعض مواضيع هذه المختارات قد بحثت موسعة في مصنفاتنا السابقة، ورغم ذلك، فقد جمعت مبدئياً بصيغتها التي كانت عليها، مع تنقيح طفيف اقتضاه التصويب أو عدم التكرار، ثم رتّبت غالباً حسب أسبقية تاريخ أصحابها.
