ليس ثمة مكان واقعي ومكان لا واقعي بالكامل، كل الأمكنّة تبدأ بالواقع لكنها ما أن تدخل النَّص حتى تستقر في الإيهام الفضائي، في اللاواقع، في الإفتراض، في الخيال، أيّ ثمة وجود فضاء آخر في جوف الفضاء الواقعي، هو الفضاء الإبهامي الذي يناظر الفضاء الواقعي ويعيّد تشكيله ثقافياً، وعلينا أن نعيد في ضوء الفضاء الإبهامي تركيب واقع النَّص الفني المختفي وراء الفضاء الواقعي.
فالامكنة في الفلسّفة والنَّقد والأدب، هي أمكنة إبهامية تنتج عبر الواقعي الذي خضع للخيال وعبر اللا واقعي الذي خضع للإفتراض والوهم واللامعقول.
ففي كل هذه التصورات عن الأمكنَّة نذهب مباشرة إلى الملا مرئي فيها، إلى المفترض، إلى الوجوه المتعددة التي لا تظهر من الرؤية الأحادية، إلى الفضاء الثانوي الإبهامي حسب تغبير جوزيف كيسنر، الفضاء الذي لم يزل طيناً نيئاً أولياً لنباشره بالخلق، وهذا اللا مرئي المتعدد المستويات للفضاء، لا يمكن الإمساك به عبر طريقة تفكير تقليديَّة أو أحاديَّة، إنما عبر الرؤية الجدليَّة لطبقات ومستويات المكان، فكل مستوى من الأمكنة يخصص لها رؤيَّة نقدية تنسجم وطبيعتها، وكل رؤيَّة مخصصة لمستوى معين منه لا تبقى هي الأخرى على مفاهيم مستقرة، ولذلك تتعدد رؤى النقاد للمكان الواحد، وتتنوع طروحاتهم، فالفضاء الإيهامي أشبه ما يكون بالرؤى المرآوية التي تعكس تشكيلات مرئية ومتخيلة ومحتملة وممكنة ومطابقة للواقع، لذلك يكون النَّقد المكانيّ جزءاً من النقد الثقافي، ومجالاً من مجالات إنفتاحه على الفلسفة وعلى الواقع الطبيعي معاً.
