إنّ البحوث المطروحة في هذا الكتاب اعتمدت المفهوم الحديث للمنهج الدراسي، فلسفة لها، إذ يعدّ المتعلم محوراً للعملية التعليمية مما يستدعي تسخير عناصر المنهج الدراسي والبيئة الدراسية لتنمية شخصية المتعلم في جوانبها الثلاثة، العقلية والوجدانية والمهارية، وقد تناول إنتقال أثر التعلم أو التدريب في بناء المناهج الدراسية بالإعتماد على فهم مهارات الإستذكار، لما له من أهمية في تيسير العملية التعليمية.
وتناول كذلك نظرية الدور في إعداد المدرس وما يتطلبه هذا من مناهج دراسية وأساليب مبنية على أساس تحليل دور المدرس في العملية التدريسية، وفاعلية أسلوبين في التربية العملية لطلبة الصفوف المنتهية من كليات التربية؛ ولم ينسى العنف التربوي، مفهومه، وأبعاده، ومعالجاته.
وتناول مفهوماً إجتماعياً مركزياً وهو المسؤولية الإجتماعية ولكن على النطاق الجامعي، ومستوى تحقيق هذا المفهوم عند الطالب الجامعي والأستاذ الجامعي على السواء، وتناول الجودة في النظام الجامعي، فلسفة ومعايير وثقافة، ثم تلاه عنوان البيئة ذلك السهل الممتنع، وكيفية تضمين المناهج الدراسية مفاهيم تؤدي إلى تبني السلوك البيئي، واستمر بمواضيعه حتى تكون هناك شمولية بالموضوع ناقش واقع المرأة العراقية، والتفرقة ما بين الجنس (النوع) والجنسانية، وما ينبغي أن يحويه المنهج الدراسي من أجل ترسيخ المفاهيم الصحيحة في هذا المجال، فيما تناول التعليم المستمر على أنه ركيزة للتقدم ومعالجاً للقضايا الإجتماعية والإقتصادية، فضلاً عن موازنة أولية بين بعض دول العالم في هذا المجال، ومن ثم فإنه تناول ثقافة إدارة الأزمات، كيف يمكن أن نضمّنها في سلوك الإداريين والأفراد، ومن بينها الأزمات التربوية، وأخيراً الدور المتوقع للأستاذ الجامعي في المرحلة الراهنة، وما عليه من مسؤوليات في مهنة التدريس والبحث وخدمة المجتمع.
