يتضمن هذا الكتاب الحديث عن القضايا والاحكام الموجودة في المحاكم الشرعية، فيذكر أهم القضايا وأكثرها انتشارا في المحاكم الشرعية الا وهي المهر حيث يبدأ أو لا بتعريف المهر لغة ثم يعرفة شرعا كما يتطرق الى ذكر التسميات المختلفة له كم يدلل على وجوب المهر بأمثلة من الكتاب والسنة، كذلك يبين ما يصح تسمية مهرا، ويشير الى قضية هامة: وهي تعجيل المهر وتأجيله وزيادته والانقاص منه ثم ينتقل للحديث عن المهر في القانون الأحوال الشخصية، بعد ذلك يتطرق الى القضية أخرى لاتقل أهمية عن القضية المهر الا وهي قضية النسب فيشير الى كيفية إثبات النسب والاجتهاد القضائي في ذلك والاجراءات المتبعة في ذلك كما انه يتعرض لذكر قضايا النفقات والهيئة في مرض الموت وكذلك قضينا الوصية والوقف، فيعرض تعريف لهذه القضايا، كما يشير الى الاجتهاد القضائي فيها جميعا، ويشير إلى الإجراءات المتبعة لحل مثل تلك القضايا.
