وتمكن مؤلفه من تطبيق الفضاء على شعر السياب بمقدرة عالية لبيان النسيج الجمالي للنصوص السيابية بطريقة منضبطة، ولهذا جاء هذا الكتاب رائداً في مجاله، جميلاً في لغته، رائعاً في تحليلاته، يستحق التقدير والإعجاب، والمكتبة العربية النقدية بحاجة شديدة إلى مثل هذه الدراسات الجادة المعاصرة للأخذ بيد الطلبة والباحثين والمثقفين إلى تفهم النظريات النقدية الحديثة وهي مطبقة على أجود الشعر العربي بقدرة عالية وإمكانية فذة.
