إنَّ الكتاب الَّذي بين يديك عزيزي القارئ يتناول بالنَّقد والتَّحليل العلميّ الركائز المعرفيَّة والمباني الفلسفيَّة الأولى لمدرسة المحكمة المتعالية، التي تُمثِّل النسخة الأخيرة للأفلاطونيَّة المُحدَّثة في العالم الإسلامي، والتي كانت على مدى قرونٍ ثلاثةٍ وما زالت تُهيمن بنزعتها التلفيقيَّة (الفلسفيَّة - الدينيَّة - العرفانيَّة) على أكثر المدارس والحوزات العلميَّة الدينيَّة التقليديَّة، والجامعات الأكاديميَّة في المشرق الإسلامي.
فهذا الكتاب يعرض على المهتمين بهذا الشأن مُحاكمة عقليَّة يُقارن فيها المؤلِّف بين آراء رائد هذه المدرسة ومُؤسّسها الفيلسوف المشهور صدر الدين الشيرازيّ المعروف بــ "الملاّ صدرا"، وآراء أستاذه المعلّم الثالث المعروف بــ "السيّد الداماد"، ويكشف بالنقد والتحليل العقليّ البرهانيّ عن حقيقة أدقّ المسائل وأهمّها في تاريخ الفلسفة الإسلاميَّة، أعني تلك المتمثِّلة بــ "أصالة الماهيَّة والوجود".
وبهذه الدراسة الموضوعيَّة البعيدة عن التحيُّز لغير ما يمليه البرهان، وضع المؤلِّف الأستاذ الدكتور أيمن عبد الخالق حدّاً لهذه المدرسة الفلسفيَّة الإشراقيَّة، مُعلناً إنقضاء صلاحيّتها العلميَّة، ومُسدلاً الستار على عصر طويل من التكرار والإجترار الَّذي ابتُليت به الفلسفة في مراكزها العلميَّة، فاتحاً من جديد أبواب الحكمة لعودة روح الإتِّجاه العقليّ الأصيل إليها، وبثّه في شرايينها وعروقها، لتكون الثمرة في نهاية المطاف عودة الحياة إلى الفلسفة العقليَّة الرشيدة.
