حظيت قصيدة "بانت سعاد" لكعب بن زهير بعناية لم تحظ بها قصيدة أخرى في الأدب العربي، فقد تناولنا الشراح واللغويون والنحاة والبلاغيون وأصحاب السير بالعناية والرعاية والدرس، منذ أن أنشدها كعب بن زهير، بحضرة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى يومنا هذا.
فقد تناولها الشراح كل طريقته الخاصة به، وإستعان بها اللغويون ليعتمدوا على ما جاء فيها من لغة، فهي حجتهم في غريب اللغة، إذ لا يكاد يخلو معجم لغوي من الإستشهاد بأبيات أو كلمات منها، وإستعان منها النحاة واعتنوا بها عناية فائقة، فبعض أبياتها شواهد نحوية اعتمد عليها النحاة في مسائلهم، كما أعربها أكثر من نحوي ضمن شرحه.
كما تناولها أصحاب السير فأوردوا نص القصيدة وأخبار كعب وأخيه بجير وإسلامهما، وذكروا قصة مقدم كعب إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وإسلامه وكيفية إنشادها بحضرته صلى الله عليه وسلم؛ هذا بالإضافة إلى الكثيرين من أصحاب البديعات الذين نظموا قصائدهم على هدي "بانت سعاد"، كما إهتم بالقصيدة غير العرب فشرحها الفرس والترك أكثر من شرح.
وفي عصرنا الحديث اهتم بها غير العرب بشكل كبير أيضاً، فمنهم من درسها وقدم لها، ومنهم من ترجمها إلى الإنجليزية والإيطالية والفرنسية والفارسية والتركية والأردية.
وللإهتمام الفائق الذي حظيت به هذه القصيدة، عمل أ.د. عبد الله محمد عيسى الغزالي على دراستها وتحقيقها تحقيقاً علمياً رصيناً لتعم بها الفائدة لأبناء العربية.
