وها هي شهوة الكتابة تراودني مجدداً وقد عدت إلى باريس مديراً عاماً لمعهد العالم العربي مطلع سبتمبر 2016م، أهي تجربة "رقص" تتكرر بصيغة أخرى؟...
أزعم ذلك، لكني لست واثقاً الآن إلا من جديّة هذه المفارقة: مَحبة الكتابة، وصعوبة الوفاء بشروط النّص السيري في مجتمع كان بسيطاً سمحاً متفتحاً وأصبح يتجه نحو التعقيد والتزمت المقيت في كل شيء.
وفي كل حال يطيب لي أن أكتب الآن وفي ذهني صورة حميمة لمزرعتنا الخصيبة تحت بيتنا القديم، فالمؤكد أن مساحتها محدودة جداً، لكني ما كنت أطل عليها من فوق السطح السفلي إلا وتبدو لي جنة خضراء وارفة متسعة وذلك لسببين وجيهين تماماً، الأول أن فيها عيّنات من كل أشجار الفواكه المعروفة في المنطقة، وإن غلب عليها الرمان والتفاح والعنب والخوخ والمشمش والتين بنوعيه، هذا فضلاً عن القضب الذي يشكل قلبها الأخضر بإستمرار.
والسبب الثاني والأهم أن هذه الأشجار الجميلة الكريمة تظلّ تنمو بإتجاه السماء فتُراقص الهواء وتنتشر في الفضاء بحرية تامة وكأن تراب الأرض مجرد موطئ أقدام ومنطلق أحلام!...
