الكتاب في عشرة فصول الفصل الأول يتحدث فيه المؤلف عن الإشعاعات المؤنية ومصادرها الطبيعية والإشعاعات الكونية والإشعاعات المنبعثة من سطح الأرض. والإشعاعات من داخل الجسم. أما الفصل الثاني فهو يبحث في تصنيف الموجات الكهرومغناطيسية واستعمالاتها حيث يتحدث عن الإشعاعات المنبعثة عن الراديو والتلفزيون وأجهزة الاتصالات اللاسلكية والتلفون الخلوي وخطوط الكهرباء ووسائل النقل الكهربائية.
ويبحث الفصل الثالث في الكهرومغناطيسية وتجلياتها في جسم الإنسان بينما يعرض الفصل الرابع لعناصر الحقول الكهرومغناطيسية التي ثبت تأثيرها على جسم الإنسان ويستعرض الفصل الخامس تاريخ الأبحاث والتجارب. أما الفصل السادس فيبحث في تأثير الحقول الكهربائية الثابتة وتأثير الحقول المغناطيسية الثابتة، وتأثير الحقول الكهرومغناطيسية ذات الذبذبات الصناعية وتأثير الإشعاعات الكونية على الإنسان.
وفي الفصل السابع يعرض المؤلف للمعايير الكهرومغناطيسية الآمنة وحدود الخطر في حين تناول في الفصل الثامن لتأثير الحقول المعناطيسية على الجهاز العصبي والقلب والشرايين وتأثيرها على النسل والحوامل، وحاسة النظر، ويقدم في الفصل التاسع نصائح لاتقاء شر ما دفع الإنسان ثمنه كالكمبيوتر والتلفون الخلوي، وخطوط التوتر العالي، أما الفصل العاشر فيعرض فيه للتلوث الكهرومغناطيسي وسلامة البينة والخلفية الكهرومغناطيسية الطبيعية والإشعاعات الشمسية والغلاف المغناطيسي للأرض وكهرباء الغلاف الجوي.
