من هنا، فإن هذا الكتاب يتناول معرفة الإنسان من منظور ديني، وإن كان يأخذ طابعاً وصفيّاً ويبين رؤى النصوص القرآنية، فإنه لا يخلو أيضاً من نقد ودراسة لكل الرؤى والأفكار التي تتعارض معه في هذا المجال.
وبناءً عليه، انتظمت موضوعات الكتاب في خمسة فصول تسلط الضوء على: "ماهية علم الإنسان ومكانته"، "النفس والجسم"، "طبيعة الإنسان"، "الجبر والإختيار"، و"الإنسان الكامل: سماته ورؤاه".
