في هذا الكتاب يجد القارئ والباحث والمهتم عدداً من الدراسات والمحاضرات التي ألقيت والمناقشات التي أجريت في أيام الندوة. وكان هذا المؤتمر محاولة للتغلب على الحواجز التي تفصل الناس بعضهم عن بعض، وتهدف إلى بناء جسور تربط بين البشر وتقودهم إلى الاضطلاع بمسؤوليات مشتركة. ويعد الموضوع الذي تدور حوله البحوث جزاءاً من الخطاب حول حقوق الإنسان والمقصود بها هو تلك الحقوق التي تضمن للإنسان حياة في العدل والكرامة وتكفل أيضاً مبدأ العدل في العلاقات بين الأديان. كما يبحث المتحاورون في أي مساهمة يمكن أن تقدمها الأديان ليسود العدل العلاقات بين الناس ويوضحون الموقف من المعضلات الحالية والمستقبلية المشتركة بين الجماعات الدينية.
