وتعايشت مع أهل الكويت وخاضعت أعماقهم ولامست مشاعرهم فهزها الموقف لكتابة حياة الكويت وتاريخها من خلال مسيرة ذاتية ممزوجة برحلة علمية حول ما كتب عن الكويت وما سجلته ذاكرتها في أحداث فعكست ما بذهنها عنها على صفحات كتابها هذا "الكويت في عيون امرأة دمشقية" ولخصت الكويت قديماً ومراحل تطورها، وأشارت بإيجاز إلى معالم الكويت، بيوتها، شوارعها، أسواقها، مدارسها، عملها، وبحرها وتحدثت عن حركة التعليم في الكويت، وعرضت نبذة من المعركة الأدبية والفكرية فيها، وقدّمت نموذجاً لمن نبغ في الشعر والأدب والتاريخ. ووقفت قليلاً مع الخليج وأهميته، ثم ذكرت عصر النفط الذهبي وانعكساته على الكويت ومن حولها، وتعرضها للغزو العراقي وأثر الاحتلال فيها، وأخيراً ذكرت فترة بداية التحرير. إذاً إن من يقرأ هذا الكتاب يجد حاوياً لأهم الأحداث التي تعاقبت على الكويت، وكذلك لأهم ما ورد ذكره في المراجع التي تناولت الحديث عن الكويت.
