إن الرسالة التي يريد البحث المطول في هذا الكتاب إيصالها، هي رسالة أقرب إلى الإستغاثة التي يطلقها البحار التائه، ربما يراه مبصر ما، يمد له يد التعاون حتى يخرجا معاً من دوامة الأزمة. ودوامة الأزمة هنا هي غياب الرؤية العربية الحضارية وافتقاد الوعي لدرجة انعدام النضج والحس السياسي لما يُحاك داخلياً ضد الوطن العربي ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط. وليس معنى هذا أن البحث يميل إلى نظرية المؤامرة التي اعتقد بها البعض وفسر بها أجواء الربيع العربي، لا. ليس الأمر هكذا، ولا ترى المؤلفة أن هناك ثمة مؤامرة بقدر ما هناك عدم إدراك للحظة العربية الراهنة. وهذا هو ما يجعل المنطقة تسير وفقاً للأهواء لا وفقاً للغة المصالح والتحولات الدولية وإثبات الذات العربية بفرض مشروعها الحضاري حيث تكمن الأزمة: "غياب المشروع الحضاري"!
