ففي الفصل الأول: يستعرض الكتاب أهم المفاهيم موضع الدرس والبحث مع الإشارة إلى أن الدراسات الإنسانية لا تنحصر في أطر محددة متفق عليها من قبل الباحثين والدارسين، فهي تبقى مجال اختلاف وتعدد في الآراء. وإذا يبين هذا الفصل مفاهيم السيناريوهات بحيث تبيين الشروط اللازمة لوضع التصورات المستقبلية وطرق دراستها ووضعها من خلال مناهج خاصة، فإنه يتناول المفاهيم الثقافية لعدة مفكرين ويناقشها بموضوعية وحيادية علمية. ويعرج الكتاب على مفهوم المستقبل ويستعرض بعضاً منها، وبعد ذلك يناقش مفهوم العولمة حيث يبين الآراء المختلفة حول العولمة من وجهة نظر الباحثين والمفكرين.
أما الفصل الثاني فيتحدث عن المتغيرات العالمية من خلال: المتغيرات الاقتصادية والتي أوصلت العالم أجمع إلى انتهاج النمط الرأسمالي في تعاملاتها الاقتصادية والعلاقات الاقتصادية بين الدول من خلال الخصخصة وحرية انتقال السلع ورؤوس المال متخطية الحدود القومية للدول دون حواجز.
ويستعرض الكتاب في الفصل الثالث: التداخل والعلاقة بين الثقافة والتربية حيث يبين الكاتب أثر التطورات والمتغيرات المتسارعة على العملية التربوية، إذ تشكل التربية أحد أهم المداخل الرئيسية لتشكل الثقافة الوطنية للأمة.
