إذا كانت بيئة السؤال العلمي توجه هذا السؤال نحو كفايته المعقولة بحصر مجال طرحه إذ ترى أنه ليس من الضروري ""أن يسأل كل واحد من العلماء عن كل شيء؛ ولا أيضا ينبغي أن يجيب عن كل ما يسأل في كل واحد به؛ ولكن إنما يجب أن يجيب عن أشياء محدودة منحازة في علمه"" (أرسطو)، فإن العناصر التي ظهرت لنا أنها تستحق المعالجة والدراسة، وتدعو إلى طرح الأسئلة واستحضار الأجوبة الملائمة لها هي العناصر التي تكيف مادتها وصورتها الصناعة السيميائية السابقة وتجسدها خطة مبحثنا بطريقة موافقة لشروط قيود منجزها العلمي. وبالنظر إلى آلية هذه الصناعة فإن المنطق، الذي تسمى به الصناعة السيميائية، هو المذهب شبه الضروري أو الصوري للدلائل. ورسمه على هذا الوجه معناه بناء ملاحظات الإنسان على طبائع الدلائل التي يعلمها، واعتماد سيرورة تجريدية توصله إلى تأليف قضايا وأقوال تحتمل الصدق والكذب، والصحة والخطأ؛ وبالتالي تحديد ما يتوجب أن تكون عليه طبائع الدلائل التي يستعملها ذكاء علمي مشبع بالقدرة الكافية على التعلم بوساطة التجربة ومقتنع بأن التعرض للخطأ فرض عين أكثر من العصمة منه.
