إنها حكاية وجود الحداثة، الوجود يتبدل ويشرق في طوره الجديد ويظهر في مرآة الفلسفة، الفيلسوف مرآة الوجود. والكلام هنا يطمح إلى أن يكون مرتبة من مراتب هذا الظهور. يلتقط هيدغر ومضة في فكر ليبنيز، ومضة تستبق الحداثة وتكشف جوهرها وتؤصل منطقها. إنه مبدأ العلة الكافية مبدأ الحساب الذي يختفي وراء بداهته ولكنه يطبع الوجود الحديث برمته...
إنه لوجود منفصم ذاك الذي يشع من خلال مبدأ العلة/الحساب: هنا عقل الخلق والإبداع الذي يخلق موضوعه، يجعله، يحسبه، هو نفسه العقل الذي يقع في التيه أمام مرآة الوجود المنفصمة، حيث الوجود والعقل الشيء نفسه وحيث الوجود يصبح الهاوية...
مبدأ العلة بظهوره الحديث هو الجامعة الحديثة واللوجيستيك والكومبيوتر ولكنه أيضاً القنبلة الذرية وهذه القنبلة التي تهدد وجود الإنسان الحديث ليست عارضة إذ بقدر ما انتج الإنسان أدوات حاسبة للضبط والتدقيق كثف طاقة بعجز عن ضبطها واحتسابها... إلى أي مدى يصح هذا الكلام الذي ينتمي إلى نظرية السقوط من خلال التناقضات الذاتية؟ إلى أي مدى علينا الرهان على تدمير ذاتي للحضارة الغربية وغلى أي مدى نحن الذي نعيش على "ضفاضها" لن يصيبنا هذا النزوع إلى التدمير قبل أن يطالها؟
إن هذا الحديث في الوجود، ولو ادعى هنا الانتماء إلى اليونان والتعبير عن الغرب، يهمنا. إننا بمعنى ما، نحن الذين، ننتمي إلى التراث الفلسفي العربي الإسلامي، نجد فيه مكاناً للحضور حضور في الكلام، ربما-ولكن أي حضور وجودي أصيل ينتشر في مراتب الوجود جميعها..
فالسؤال إذن هو ما إذا كنا نسمع فعلاً كلام الوجود ما ندعي أنه تراثنا أي هل أننا نتذكر أو نعيش "الذكر" لنقدم على قفزة إيجابية أصيلة تبدد التقابل بين حضور الغرب فينا وحضورنا في ما يبني عليه الحضور؟
