لو شاهدنا الآن لوحتين أصليتين لبَول كلي أنجزهما في العام الذي مات فيه: الأولى بالألوان المائية (المقدّسون من نافذة) والثانية مزج الألوان بالخيش (الموت والنار)، ورغبنا بعد ذلك أن نبقى أمام اللوحتين مُدَّة طويلة من الوقت، ورغبنا أيضاً بالتخلّي عن كُلّ مطلبٍ للوضوح المباشر.
ولو أمكن الآن أن يُلقى علينا، وحتى من قبل الشاعر جورج تراكل نفسه، شعره (اللحن السباعي للموت)، ومن ثم رغبنا غالباً بأن نستمع إليه، وتخلينا عن كُلّ مطلب للوضوح المباشر.
ولو أن فرنر هايزنبرغ الآن يقدم جزءاً من أفكاره في الفيزياء النظرية، والتي تسير في معادلة الكون التي تم البحث عنها من قبله، ويتمكن اثنان أو ثلاثة من المستمعين متابعته، ومن دون أي معارضة للحديث نتخلى نحن عن كل مطلب للوضوح المباشر.
ليس الأمر كذلك مع التفكير الذي يُدعى الفلسفة، إذ ينبغي لهذا التفكير أن يعرض حكمة عالمية، عندما لا يكون ثمّة توجيه نحو الحياة الهائلة، ولكن يمكن لمثل هذا التفكير اليوم أن يكون في وضع يروم فيه التأملات التي نَأت بعيداً عن حكمة الحياة النافعة، ويمكن لتفكير ما، والذي يتعين أن يُتأمل بذاته، والذي يأخذ منه ما يسمى فن الرسم والشعر والفيزياء الرياضية تعريفاتها، أن يصبح ضروريّاً.
وهنا أيضاً يتوجب علينا بعد ذلك أن نترك المطلب للوضوح المباشر، ولكن يتعين علينا رغم ذلك أن نستمع، لأنه يحدث أن نفكر في الشيء الدارج والمعتاد.
