إحصاء أسماء الله يعني إحصاء ألفاظها وعدها، وفهم معانيها ودعاء الله بها والتعبد لله بمقتضاها. ولذا فإن من أحصى أسماء الله الحسنى وتدبرها وعمل بمقتضاها زكت نفسه، وصلحت أعماله، فأكثر من طاعة مولاه، وازداد من شكره، وازداد خشية لله وتعظيماً، ومراقبة له ومحبة وحياء منه، وشوقاً إلى لقاءه، وابتعد عن معصية الله إذا فتشت عنه لم تجد له أثراً في ميادين الفسق والفجور، وبالجملة فالعلم بأسماء الله الحسنى له اثر عظيم في صلاح الفرد والأسرة والأمة، فما نربيهم بمعانيها كي يشعروا بأن الله معهم في أنفسهم، وما تتكلم به ألسنتهم، لتكون في قلوبهم رقابة ذاتية لا تفارقهم، فإذا وسوست لهم نفوسهم بالمعاصي تذكروا الله سبحانه، كما قال الله سبحانه وتعالى: (إن الذين اتقوا إذا مسهم طائف من الشيطان تذكروا فإذا هم مبصرون).
وفي هذا الكتاب، شرح موجز ومختصر لأسماء الله الحسنى معروض بلغة سهلة ميسورة ليتمكن عامة الناس من فهمه واستيعابه. هذا وقد ألحق به إجابات للعديد من الأسئلة التي تتعلق بأسماء الله وصفاته. وقد انتقى هذا المختصر من كلام العلماء الأجلاء.
