إن اللّون شغل كثيراً من الدارسين في مجالات شتى إذ ظهرت مجموعة من الدراسات التي جعلته محورها الأساس سواء على مستوى التطبيق أم التنظير، وعماد إهتمامها، ولا سيما أن هذه الدراسات متنوعة العلوم والمعارف والإهتمامات وتأتي في مقدمتها الدراسات اللغوية والدراسات العلمية كالكيميائية والفيزيائية، وكذلك دراسات أخرى تدخل في إطار توظيف اللّون في مجالات متعددة منها الطب والتحليل النفسي، والدعاية والإعلان والإضاءة وغير ذلك.
أما عن الدراسات اللغوية فقد زخرت المعجمات وكتب اللغة والأدب بتفصيلات لونية مثيرة، تشهد لأصحاب هذه اللغة بدقة الوصف وإرتقاء الحاسة البصرية، وبإهتمامها بهذا الجانب الحسي وما له من آثار فكرية ونفسية.
أما عن الدراسات النقدية الحديثة فيبدو أن الحاجة كانت ملحة للإفادة من كتب اللغة القديمة، ومن ثمّ تطبيقها على التوظيف الفني للّون، فإذا كان اللّون أظهر خواصَ الطبيعة، وكان الشاعر يتكئ على الحواس في تكوين صورة الفنية، فإن ذلك يحتم عليه أن يتعامل مع اللّون ولا بد من ذلك؛ لأنّ الثراء اللوني كان أحد مصادر الشعر الذي كان وسيظل محط أنظار المتلقين والسامعين، وكنزاً كبيراً وعظيماً لصورٍ لا تحصى من الألوان طالما أنه يقوم على الخيال والتصور.
لذلك، تأتي هذه الدراسة الموسومة بــ (التوظيف الفني للّون في شعر السَّري الرَّفاء) محاولة للوقوف على هذا العنصر الفني بصفته واحداً من أبرز العناصر الحسية، والمعنوية في تكوين الصورة والمشهد عبر لوحات فنية رائعة الإنتظام، من خلال الرجوع إلى جذوره الأولى، ومحاولة النظر للموظف من منظور موروثات اللّون الأساسية الحية وغير الحية أي فيما يتعلق بالإنسان وغيره.
