هذه هي الطبعة الرابعة لمصادر الإلتزام أضعها بين أيدي المشتغلين بالقضايا القانونية بصورة عامة، وبين أيدي إخواني طلبة كليات القانون بصورة خاصة.
كما حرصت على إبراز القضاء العراقي وإيراد أحكام محكمة تمييز العراق وإحلالها محل إحكام المحاكم غير العراقية كلما كان ذلك ممكناً، فقد أصبح القضايا العراقي، والحق يقال، قادراً على الوقوف على قدميه، مما ساعد على ذلك تتابع ظهور أحكام محكمة التمييز في مجلدات "قضاء محكمة تمييز العراق" و "النشرة القضائية" التي يصدرها المكتب الفني المحكمة التمييز، ولكن الذي يؤسف له أشد الأسف أن نشر هذه الأحكام لم يول العناية والإشراف الكافيين.
فجاءت مليئة بالأغلاط المطبعية وبسقوط عبارات وتكرار أخرى، مما يجعل عمل الباحث صعباً، ومما يؤسف له أيضاً أن يجد القارئ في هذه الأحكام شيئاً كثيراً من الأغلاط اللغوية والنحوية التي يجب أن لا توجد في أحكام صادرة من أعلى هيئة قضائية في البلاد.
