المتتبع لأعمال الشاعر علي الرضا الحسيني يعرف أنه قد اخترق جدار اللغة وكوّن لنفسه لغة شعرية خاصة متميزة بصورها وأدواتها ومفرداتها الخاصة، في محاكاتها لمبدع هذا الكون، وهي تغوص في جوهر الأشياء، تبحث عن كنهها، فيكون الشعر معها وسيلة للإقتراب من الذات الإلهية أكثر فأكثر.
في القصيدة التي يفتتح بها الديوان قصيدة بعنوان "إبتهال ودعاء" يقول فيها:
أكرم الأشياء لله الدعاء / وابتهال يتغشاه الصفاء ، فاسأل الله وما من أحدٍ / قال: يا الله تجفوه السماء ، ربنا حيّ كريم يستحي / أن يرد العبد والكف خواء (...) "
يضم الكتاب "الأعمال الشعرية الكاملة" للشاعر علي الرضا الحسيني، وقد راعى في ترتيب الدواوين الحروف الهجائية في مطلع العناوين، مستخدماً بحور الشعر العربي الموزون والمقفى وهي: 1- ديوان ابتهال ودعاء، 2- ديوان بثينة، 3- ديوان تونسيات، 4- ديوان حديقة الشعر، 5- ديوان خماسيات الحسيني، 6- ديوان خواطر من القلب، 7- ديوان ربيع شاعر، 8- ديوان زين، 9- ديوان قلب شاعر، 10- ديوان نغمة العندليب، 11- ديوان ورد وأشواك.
