هذا الكتاب طريق سعادة البشرية عبر التاريخ، الطريق الذي اختطّه خالق المخلوقات للإنسانية بخلقه ومن ثم بعث الإنسان الكامل والنموذج الأعلى للعبودية، وبهذا أتمّ الحجّة على البشر، وجعل الكثير من العلامات الواضحة للحظة ولادة محمد بن عبد اللّه (ص) السعيدة شواهد على هذه الحقيقة. الرسول الخاتم (ص) الذي بشّرت بظهوره ورسالته الكتب السماوية السابقة، كان حتّى قبل بعثته معروفاً بالمروءة والعفّة والصدق. فقد كان يعتبره الناس أميناً، ومثل هذه الصفة في ذلك العصر الذي سُمّي بحقّ عصرَ الجاهلية، إنّما ينمّ عن منزلته السامقة (ص). وحين بُعث بالرسالة قال: «إنَّما بعثت لأتمّم مكارم الأخلاق».
