يتوجّه الخطاب القرآنيّ إلى ذوي العقول ويدعوهم إلى التفكّر وإعمال العقل من اجل بناء نفس بشريّة متوازنة توازناً إيمانيّاً واعياً.
فالإيمان يستلزم جملة من الإلتزامات الشخصيّة على صعيد عبادة الفرد وعلاقته بالله تعالى وبنفسه ومن حوله، وجملة من الإلتزامات الجمعيّة التي تهدف إلى إقامة مجتمع توحيديّ تتحقّق في ظلّه الأحكام الإلهيّة.
وعليه، يجب أن يكون هذا الإيمان على قدرٍ وافٍ من الوعي لإدراك المسؤوليّات والتكاليف، وهذا لا يمكن أن يتمّ إلاّ لمن امتلك البصيرة القادرة على تحديد الهدف وإلتزام الإستقامة والثبات في تنفيذ التكليف.
هذا الكتاب هو عبارة عن خطب لسماحة الإمام الخامنئي في موضوعي "البصيرة والإستقامة"، ونشرها باللغة العربيّة، بعد توزيعها على فصلين وملحق، يحمل الفصل الأوّل عنوان "البصيرة" التي يعرّفها الإمام الخامنئي بأنّها الوعي والتنبّه والتيقّظ ورسم الإتجاه الصحيح.
يحمل الفصل الثاني عنوان "الإستقامة" فهي من النقاط المهمّة التي ذكرها القرآن الكريم فيما يتعلّق ببناء المجتمع الإسلاميّ وتحقيق القيم الإلهيّة فهي تعني الثبات على الصراط المستقيم، فحين يتحقّق الإتصال الحقيقيّ بالملكوت الأعلى لا يمكن أن يتسلّل الخوف إلى النفوس في المضيّ والمحافظة على المجتمع الإلهيّ التوحيديّ الذي اراده الله تعالى.
وأضاف الكاتب ملحق بعنوان "الفتنة" الذي يعتبرها الإمام الخامنئي الغبار الذي يتحرّك الناس في فضائه بعيون مغلّفة فتفرض مجتمعاً أناسه لا يتعرّفون إلى وجوه بعض فيرفع الأصدقاء والأخوة سيوفهم، فالفتنة تحضر عندما يفقد الإنسان البصيرة ليحدث الإنحراف والضياع عندما تطاع الأهواء النفسانيّة.
