بعض الأسماء الأدبية، تكاد لا تحضر الثقافة الأفريقية في اللسان العربي، وهو سؤال برز بشكل واضح منذ فترة قصيرة مع فوز الكاتب التنزاني البريطاني عبد الرزاق قرنح بجائزة نوبل للآداب.
أما الحصيلة الفكرية فباهتة، حتى أن أفريقيا تبدو بدون مفكّرين، وهو وضع بدأ يتغيّر - لكن ببطء - مع ظهور ترجمات لأعمال المفكّر الكاميروني أشيل امبيمبي، وفي ذات الإطار يمكن أن نضع الترجمة الأخيرة لكتاب "أفريقيا أفقاً للفكر: في مساءلة الكونية وما بعد الكولونيالية" وهو عمل مشترك جمع بين المفكّر السينغالي سليمان بشير دياني والأنثربولوجي الفرنسي المقيم بأفريقيا جان لو أمسيل.
صدر العمل مؤخراً عن منشورات "معنى" بترجمة الباحث المغربي فريد الزاهي، ويمثّل مدخلاً لفهم قضايا فكرية أساسية في عالم اليوم، من منظورات غير مركزية حيث يعيد المؤلفات تركيب هذه القضايا من منطلق أفريقي.
