لم أكن في حياتي جندياً... ولكنني أعتقد أن الحروب كابوس لا ينتهي... يستمر معك إلى آخر يوم في حياتك... نعم، كابوس لن تستطيع الإفاقة منه... هناك آثار جراح لم تندمل بعدُ بسبب تلك الحروب... لطالما أخذت مكان المشاعر في نفسي... ليس فقط لأنها حرمتني من أبي... ولكنها كانت تخلق في نفسي فجوات كانت في يومٍ ما مجموعةً من العواطف.
ولكي تفهم شرور وعنف القتال يجب عليك تجربته... لكونك لن تستطيع أن تسمع سوى توالي صدى صرخات الجرحى بإستمرار... حتى صمت القتلى يحفر في ذاتك مشاعر لن تستطيع نسيانها أبداً... إنها دروس وعليك أن تتعلم... ربما تكون أقسى الدروس.
