سرعان ما بدأتِ الأجراس تُقرعُ في رأسي كأنّه قدّاسُ الولوجِ إلى أرض الخواطر، حيث استقبلتني زجاجاتُ النبيذ وانبعثت الموسيقى كلازمةٍ للتخيّل، ثم وجدتني أمشي في سردابٍ تتدلى من سقفه قناديلٌ مُنارة كأكوازٍ الذّرة المتوهجة، وأمامي جوقة ضبابٍ متصالب يظهر بصعوبةٍ من ورائه هيكلٌ لعرشٍ هائل، بدأت الموسيقى تعلو مع إقترابي، وطيفُ أحدهم يتجلّى أمامي، اقتربتُ أكثر والموسيقى صدحت بقوة، شعرتُ بالخفّة، الطّيفُ انقلب امرأةً، المرأة تلبسُ حريراً أبيض وحول رأسها قوسُ قزحٍ بعينين تضحكان، المرأة لها وجهي ونهدان مغريان، دنوتُ منها لأعرف إن كانت تبتسم أم هي حزينة، لكنّ قدميّ غاصتا في الماء، الكثير من الماء، بيني وبينها انبعثَ المحيط، وفاحت رائحةُ حبق، أغمضتُ عينيّ، وتركتُ أناملي تعزف على روائح الحبق، لكنَ صوتاً اقتحمَ نوتتي، وأعادني إلى مكتبي.
