لبشارة السيدة مريم عليها السلام بولادة عيسى عليه السلام أهمية كبرى عند المسيحيين والمسلمين، فهي نقطة تلاق وإنطلاق، هي تلاق ما بين المسيحية والإسلام، وإنطلاق للحوار الهادف بين بني البشر، مما يوجب علينا الغوص في معاني البشارة والتعمق في أبعادها.
وهو الشيء الذي سعى إليه الشيخ محمد عسيران في كتاب وسمه بعنوان "الصديقة مريم والبشارة في القرآن الكريم"، فخصص القسم الأول لشخصية السيدة مريم العذراء صاحبة البشارة ولإصطفائها بأنها "سيدة نساء العالمين"، أما القسم الثاني فخصص لــ (البشارة) وما تحمله من معانٍ ومضامين وإعجاز، والغاية هي إبراز المكانة الخاصة للسيدة مريم العذراء في الدين الإسلامي وفي عقيدة المسلمين.
يبدأ الكتاب بكلمة لــ "غريغوريوس الثالث" / بطريرك إنطاكية وسائر المشرق والإسكندرية وأورشليم للروم الملكيين الكاثوليك، وفيها يشكر المؤلف على ما جاء في محاضرته عن القيمة التي أشار فيها إلى الآية (9) في القرآن الكريم من سورة الأنبياء "وجعلناها وابنها آية العالمين" وفيها يقول: "والآية تعني أعجوبة، ذلك لأن ولادتها السيد المسيح هو أعجوبة العجائب" ويقارن الآية بما ورد في سفر أشعيا النبي حيث نقرأ "إن الرب يؤتيكم آية: ها إنّ العذراء تحبل وتَلِدُ ابناً ويسمى عما نوئيل الله معنا" (أشعيا 1407)، في إشارة إلى ما يجمع المسيحيين والمسلمين... وحتمية التعايش مع الآخر وفق الأصل الإنساني وكرامته عند الله تعالى لكي تكون بشارة مريم خلاصاً لجميع بين البشر... بشارة الحب والسلام.
