في كتابه هذا، يكشف الدكتور مختار بن قويدر عن الحقائق الموجودة في (إنجيل برنابا) والتي اختص بها هذا الإنجيل عن الأناجيل الأخرى في الديانة المسيحية.
وبرنابا هو أحد الحواريين الذين أخلصوا للسيد المسيح عيسى بن مريم – عليهما السلام – كما أنه هو الذي حذّر من التغيير والبديل اللذين طرءا على الإنجيل الذي أنزله الله – عز وجل – على عيسى عليه السلام.
من هنا كان ظهور (إنجيل برنابا) حادثة مميزة، وبشرى لنفوس المؤمنين والباحثين المسلمين وغير المسلمين الذين راحوا ينقبون عن أصل العقيدة النصرانية بهدف كشف ما جاء فيها من تناقضات بعيدة عن جوهر العقيدة السمحاء.
الجديد الذي جاء به (إنجيل برنابا) – وفق المؤلف – أن السيد المسيح نبي، عبد، مخلوق، ليس بإله، وأنه لم يصلب، بل رفعه الله إليه بعدما شبه الخائن يهوذا الإسخريوطي لهم، وأصبح وكأنه في الهيئة والصورة هو عيسى – عليه السلام – وفيه البشارة بسيدنا محمد (ص) مذكوراً بلفظه. وإنجيل برنابا هذا – يتابع المؤلف – كان موجوداً قبل نزول القرآن الكريم بقرون عدة. قال العلاّمة (هيردر) وجماعة آخرون: إن الإنجيل الأصلي كان واحداً، إلا أنه لم يُكتب، بل قاله المسيح مشافهة. ورواه الحواريون عنه للناس شفاهياً أيضاً، فحفظ الناس منه بعض أقوال أضافوا إليها ما استحسنوه من السير القصص، ونقصوا منها ما لم يوافق أذواقهم بعدما شبه الخائن يهوذا الإسخريوطي لهم وأصبح وكأنه في الهيئة والصورة هو عيسى – عليه السلام.
ولمزيد من الوضوح والفائدة سوف يتحدث مؤلف الكتاب عن وِرد البشارة بمحمد (ص) في إنجيل برنابا، كما سيذكر بعضاً من القضايا التي وردت في هذا الإنجيل وتوافق ما جاء في القرآن الكريم، كقضية صلب المسيح، بلإضافة إلى بعض القضايا الأخرى التي توافق ما جاء في سنّة رسول الله (ص) من أحاديث وآثار، كالختان وأنّ الذبيح إنما هو إسماعيل وليس بإسحاق. وأخيراً (ملحق إنجيل برنابا) من ترجمة الدكتور خليل سعادة وتقديم السيد محمد رشيد رضا.
