مسيرته
ولد الدكتور عبد السلام بنعبد العالي بمدينة سلا سنة 1945 حاصل على الدكتوراه في الفلسفة، وهو أستاذ جامعي بجامعة محمد الخامس بالرباط، له كثير من المقالات والدراسات العلمية، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة مهمة من الكتب التي نشرت له ومنها ما هو مشترك بينه وبين مفكرين أمثال المفكر سالم يفوت في كتاب درس الإبستمولوجيا .

لا تخفي أهمية مثل هاته الوقفات التي يتوقف عندها الفكر ليثبت التحولات الكبرى التي يكون قد عرفها، ولا تخفى دلالاتها. فهي أولا إثبات لتحولات، لكنها أيضا، وربما أساس، علامة على تحول ووعي بتحول. لقد عودتنا العلوم الإنسانية بصفة عامة، والتاريخ على الخصوص، وتاريخ الأفكار على الأخص، تحين لحظات و الانعراج كي تزدهر وتترعرع. ففي مثل هاته اللحظات تراجع الذات حساباتها وينعكس الفكر على نفسه، ليقف عندما يكون قد عرفه من تحول، وما عاشه من انفصال وقطيعة. إلا أن هناك مفهومين متباينين، إن لم يكونا متقابلين، عن التحول و الانفصال، يندرجان تحت تصورين مختلفين عن الزمان التاريخي: أحدهما يصدر عما يمكن أن ننعته الهم التأريخي، أما الآخر فيتولد عما يمكن أن نطلق عليه الحس التاريخي. فإن كان الهم التاريخي ينشغل أساس بتحقيب التاريخ وإثبات الأدوار، فإن الحس التاريخي لا يشغل نفسه بتقطيع الزمن، ولا ينظر إلى أنماط الزمان من حيث إن أحده يتلو ألآخر ويعقبه، وإنما من حيث إنها تتعاصر خارج بعضها البعض. بحيث لا الحاضر هو الآن الذي يستجيب للماضي. إن الهم التأريخي ينشغل ببناء المراحل و القرون، أما الحس التاريخي فهو يسعى إلى إقامة تاريخ العصور من حيث إن العصر ليس حقبة زمنية، ولا فترة تمتد بين تاريخين. العصر علاقة متفجرة للماضي بالمستقبل. فعند كل عصر ينكشف عالم من العوالم، أي تنكشف بالنسبة لإنسان ذلك العالم علاقة جديدة للماضي بالمستقبل. إن كان تاريخ القرون إذن تاريخا باردا هامدا، فإن تاريخ العصور تاريخ ساخن تطبعه الانقطاعات وتسوده التوترات.
