يحاول المؤلف فى هذا الكتاب القاء الضوء على الخلفية التاريخية للمناطق القابلة للاشتعال سياسيا فى العالم وقد اهتم بعدة مناطق للصراع فى الشرق الاوسط والعالم العربى ما عدا مصر واوروبا وامريكا اللاتينية والنقاط الساخنة فيها ومناطق الصراع فى افريقيا والنقاط التى تهدد بالاشتعال ف6.9ى اسيا ثم اهتم بموضوع مهم وهو مشكلة الارهاب فى العالم .. وقد صدر هذا الكتاب لاول مرة عام 1995 الا انه بمجرد صدوره قامت دار النشر التى نشرته بجمع الكتاب من السوق والقاءه فى مخازنها دون ان يرى النور لمدة خمس سنولت كاملة ولم يعرف مؤلفه لماذا قامت دار النشر بسحب نسخ الكتاب ولم تنجح كل محاولاته فى مراسلة من المسئولين لمعرفة مصير الكتاب ولكن بعد خمس سنوات اتيح للمؤلف الفرصة مرة اخرى لنشرة وقد قامت الاذاعة البريطانية بالتعليق على الكتاب مرتين بسبب الدقه الشديده التى تناول المؤلف بها موضوعات الكتاب .
