هذا الكتاب هو تحقيق لكتاب الآثار للشيباني الذي يتضمن مجموعة مهمة من الأحاديث النبوية المتصلة بفقه الإمام أبي حنيفة العبادات والمعاملات ومرتبة في الكتاب حسب الأبواب كما رواها الشيباني .. ويعد تاريخ الكتاب إلى القرن الثاني الهجري وهو عصر نشأة المذهب وهو من جهة أخرى يكتسب اهميه خاصة بسبب عنايته بجانب غير مشهور من فقه أبي حنيفة في أصوله الأولى الذي كان يتخذ بعض أصحاب الحديث موقفا نقديا منه لاعتماده الواسع على القياس وتشدده في قبول آثار لم يجدها موثقة توثيقا كافيا ولذلك فإن مروياته في هذا الصدر يجب أن تحظى بأهمية خاصة وذلك لأن الشيباني يكتسب أهمية في تاريخ المذهب الحنفي كما قلنا باعتباره الرجل الثالث بين رجاله بعد أبي حنيفه وابي يوسف.
