كاتب فلسطيني، ولد في قرية سلفيت قرب نابلس عام 1971، حصل على بكالوريوس في الأدب العربي وماجستير في العلاقات الدّولية من جامعة بير زيت.
يعمل حاليًا محررًا لصحيفة <أيام> وفي المركز الفلسطيني للدراسات الإسرائيلية <مدار>.
صدر له كتاب <هواجس الإسكندر> (٢٠٠٣) و <سيرة العقرب الذي يتصبب عرقاً> التي حصلت على جائزة من مؤسسّة عبد المحسن القطان لعام ٢٠٠٧ وترجمت للّغة الفرنسية.

في هذا الكتاب، يواصل خليل السكاكيني مراسلاته مع ولده سري في أميركا على امتداد العامين 1933 و 1934.. وقد تبدو الرسائل للوهلة الأولى مجرد دردشات قد تتم بين أي أب وولده، لكنها سرعان ما تبدو للقارئ، شهادات غنية بالإشارات الإجتماعية والسياسية، ناقلة التوجهات العامة والهموم والهواجس والأحلام الجماعية، يكسبها مكانها وزمانها وشخص كاتبها أهمية إضافية.
وفي هذا الكتاب يتضح أكثر اجتهاد السكاكيني ومتابعته اللحوحة عبر ولده لأحدث ما يصدر في مجال التربية وما يستجد فيه من نظريات، ساعياً لمواكبة الأحدث لتطوير كتبه التعليمية التي خرّجت أجيالاً على امتداد العالم العربي، وكيف ينخرط السكاكيني في محاورة النقلات المفصلية في العلوم الإنسانية الحديثة خاصة علمي النفس والإجتماع، كشاهد على حيوية الحياة الثقافية الفلسطينية في الثلث الأول من القرن الماضي وانخراطها في الأسئلة الثقافية والوجودية الطازجة على مستوى العالم.
السكاكيني الأب الأربعيني يظل في هذه الرسائل أيضاً مسكوناً بمشاعر اغتراب وعتب تصل أحياناً ذروتها، حتى يخيب أمله في كل شيء، ويفكر في الرحيل، لكن سرعان ما يعاود الإنخراط في التصدي للمخاطر المحدقة بفلسطين، كتابة وخطابة وتربية ومواقف…
هذا الكتاب ليس تاريخاً تحديداً، وليس أدباً تماماً.. لكنه يبدو قطعاً متناثرة لفسيفساء لا غنى عنها، لتكمل مع غيرها لوحة ذاكرة ثقافية واجتماعية وسياسية تبذل جهود جبارة من أجل منعها من التنفس.
