بعيداً عن المدنية وضجيجها.. وفى أعماق الصحراء الغربية ورمالها الممتدة فى لانهائية وهدوء تحت أشعة الشمس المصرية.. هناك حيث لم تتلوث الطرق والسماء بالعوادم تقبع واحة "سيوه" هذه الواحة التى لم تنسها الباحثة الدكتورة "سوزان السعيد" فعادت إلهيا وإلى أجوائها بهذه الدراسة. تناولت فيها الموقع والتاريخ.. والاحتفالات الدينية والإجتماعية وخاصة المولد النبوى الشريف، كذلك الطريقة الشاذلية واحتفال السياحية.. ولم تنسى ايضاً أن تدرس حال المرأة هناك وما تقوم به من أعمال وغير ذلك.. أما المعتقدات والعلاج الشعبى فى "سيوه" وجارتها "قارة أم الصغير" فكانت فى الجزء الأخير من الدراسة.
إنها محاولة للإقتراب من هذه البقعة البعيدة والتعرف على أحولها وأهلها.
