وفي هذه المراجعات يتتبع المؤلف أحوال السلف من شيعة آل محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ويستقصي أصحاب كل من الأئمة التسعة من ذرية الإمام الحسين، وقد أحصى مؤلفاتهم المدونة على عهد أئمتهم، ومن ثم يستقرأ الذين رووا عنهم تلك المؤلفات، وحملوا عنهم حديث آل محمد في فروع الدين وأصوله من ألوف الرجال، ثم يلم بحملة هذه العلوم في كل طبقة ويداً عن يد من عصر الأئمة التسعة إلى عصرنا هذا...
