في (خميلة الياسمين) يجمع الشاعر جوزف مَهنّا كل فنون الإبداع، من شعر ونثر وتراث وقد سيات وحكميات، هي نصوص تحضر فيها خمائل اللغة، وخمائل الوجود كافة، قدم لها بمقدمة الدكتور جوزف صايغ يقول فيها: "ثمة نصوص يعسر المقالُ فيها، لا لعسرها، بل لأنها هي التي تقول، هي مصادر للقول، إنها النصوص التأسيسيّة، تستنهضُ الماضي في تأسيس للمستقبل.
نصوص مستقبلية إليها يُعادُ ومنها يُنطلق، وإن لغي تلك العودة - فيما هي رجوع إلى المصادر - تجاوزاً إلى الأواتي "خميلة الياسمين" هي هذه.
تحت عنوان "طواف في "خميلة الياسمين" بقلم موريس وديع النجار نقرأ: "قالوا تفنن في ما اشتق أو رسما... فازين، من بدعه، القرطاسُ وابتسما"... "فأي نبع تُراه ارتاد كوثرهُ... حتى غدا الحسن في أوراقه كلِما...".
وبهذا الأسلوب الأدبي البديع يقدم أيضاً موريس النجار كتاب صديقه جوزف مهنا، لننطلق بعدها إلى خمائل الشاعر مهنا، نقرأ فيها أدباً مغايراً، قصائداً تكتب نفسها بنفسها، ونصوص تنتمي إلى (كتابة الحياة)، و(أدب الذات) لها هويتها الخاصة، ومنحاها (الجمالي واللغوي والأسلوبي) المتعدد الأصوات والأشكال والأنواع، هي رؤية تتوحد فيها أصوات الوجود مع صوت الشاعر المبدع جوزف مهنا، بحيث لا يستطيع القارئ الفصل بينهما بسهولة.
يتألف الكتاب من العناوين الآتية: المقدمة تعلم: د. جوزف صايغ، طواف في خميلة الياسمين بقلم: موريس النجار، والتوطئة للمؤلف، يلي ذلك: 1-تراثيات، 2-من قرى الرّيف، 3-قد سيات، 4-سنديان في العاصفة، 5-فلك في نهر الزمن، 6-قطعان السراحين، 7-أُغرودة خارج السِّرب.
