لقد عالجت المؤلفة موضوعاً شائكاً وجديداً على الأمة العربية بعامة والإسلامية بخاصة, وهي نظرية وحدة الوجود بين ابن عربي والجيلي (دراسة تحليلية نقدية مقارنة), حيث استهدفت الباحثة من دراستها الكشف عن أصالة فكر الشيخين محي الدين بن عربي وعبد الكريم الجيلي, بالإضافة الى محاولتها التصدي لمزاعم المستشرقين وآرائهم المجحفة للتصوف ولرجالاته وذلك من خلال قراءة تحليلية نقدية متعمقة لمذهبهما ولنصوصهما كما وردت في أعمالهما الرئيسية. هذا وقد اقتضت تلك الدراسة أن تضع الباحثة أولاً بعض الافتراضات أو التساؤلات الموجهة لبحثها والتي تدور حول: طبيعة وحدة الوجود, وأوجه الاتفاق والاختلاف بين ابن عربي والجيلي في تصورها لتلك الوحدة, والنتائج التي تمخضت عن قولهما بوحدة الوجود, وهل سيقول الشيخان بوحدة الأديان وبالتالي نفي تكثرها وتعددها, ما سمة التصوف عند ابن عربي والجيلي- تصوف فلسفي أم تصوف قائم على المنهج الصوفي. تقع تلك الدراسة في بابين: الأول خصص للحديث عن مذهب وحدة الوجود عند ابن عربي, والثاني: مذهب الجيلي الصوفي, هذا بالإضافة الى إبراز أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الباحثة مستخدمة في ذلك منهجاً تاريخياًَ تحليلياً نقدياً فكرياً.
