محمد ملص (ولد عام 1945 م) هو مخرج سنيمائي سوري.
ولد ملص في مدينة القنيطرة.
عمل مدرسا من سنة 1965 إلى 1968.
ثم تخرج عام 1974 من كلية موسكو لافلام.
حصل ملص على جوائز عديدة وقد تم تكريمه أيضا في عدة مهرجانات منها مهرجان قرطاج وبيروت ودمشق ومهرجان الشاشة العربية المستقلة.

الليل منذ وقت طويل نشاهد سينما، قضينا القرن العشرين بأكمله ونحن نشاهد بذات الطريقة، الدماغ، دماغنا الواثق يتقبل منا الطقس بكل تنوعاته واختلافاته، حتى ولو كان العالم برمته هو الفيلم السيئ أو الجيد، يتقبل هذا بخفة أو مداورة، كما لو أننا نتنفس في الغياب: النص والأصوات والموسيقى، والإنبعاثات الرطيبة الأخرى، الممثلين الكبار والصغار، والأرق الذي نجيء عليه في (الليل). كل هذا الأرق في اللغة، كل هذا السهاد ورنين أوراقه على بلاط أبيض فتان، هو مادة محمد ملص في شغله على نصه، في تنهداته واختراقاته للغويات كلها إن اجتمعت للحظة حاسمة في وراثة كل الفنون العظيمة التي تسبق تفتح الليل في أكمام العتمة السوداء، ففي (الذاكرة المشتهاة) أو في البدء منها كان السكون، ومن هذا السكون (ينبني) الليل، كما في هجمة الأساطير المنتقاة من كتب الأولين والحكائين الكبار. هكذا يريد ملص أن يغوص كل منا في أرق الليل، وتحت سقف دافئ منير، وفي هداة السكون المتاح إن تحقق بمعزل عن الطقس القاصف الراعد (كما في ليل القنيطرة-سينما الواقع) ليكتشف نفسه في سحر القراءة، إن عزلنا عن الجوهر الفني للصورة، وتحققت عبر اللغة بخفة من يتنفس الغياب والحضور، فثمة من يغذ الخطى في الليل، في الخلاء البعيد ليفيدنا من توليف الحروف على الحروف كي ينقط في الإناء شهد الكلام.
