محمد ملص (ولد عام 1945 م) هو مخرج سنيمائي سوري.
ولد ملص في مدينة القنيطرة.
عمل مدرسا من سنة 1965 إلى 1968.
ثم تخرج عام 1974 من كلية موسكو لافلام.
حصل ملص على جوائز عديدة وقد تم تكريمه أيضا في عدة مهرجانات منها مهرجان قرطاج وبيروت ودمشق ومهرجان الشاشة العربية المستقلة.

يبدو أن نشر مفكرة فيلم "الكل في مكانه! وكل شيء على ما يرام سيدي الضابط!" الآن، وهو الفيلم الذي حققته عام 1974، هي بذاتها فكرة، تفصح عن تلك الأسئلة التي لا تتوقف عن الإلحاح في داخلي، والخاصة بالذات، وبالتعبير عنها... وكذلك الأسئلة الخاصة بالحدث التاريخي والسينما.
إذا كان الأستاذ محمد حسنين هيكل، قد عبّر قبل سنوات قليلة، في لقاء تلفزيوني مطول، عن إستغرابه الشديد، لكوننا كجيل، قد سقط أمام صنمية الهزيمة، ولم يخرج منها... مضيفاً أن هذا الشيء لم يحصل مع أي شعب آخر، على هذا النحو، أو مع أي جيل من الأجيال...!.
فيما يرى هل صنع الله إبراهيم وأنا، في تحقيقنا لهذا الفيلم، كنا أحد أشكال التعبير عن هذا السقوط في هذه الصنمية...؟!.
ترى هل كتابة هذه "المفكرة"، هي تعبير مضاد... يفصح عن الرغبة العارمة، بإيجاد الوسيلة لمغادرة هذا السقوط أمام صنمية الهزيمة...؟!.
على كل حال! إذا كان توصيف هيكل صحيحاً، فهل وعينا هو الذي جعلنا أسرى هذا السقوط؟!.
وأين نضع مشاعر "الضغينة" التي ظلت معلقة في الهواء، والتي كنا نشعر بها تجاه هذه الأنظمة، التي تألمنا منها لهذه الدرجة؟!...
وهل غياب العلاقة الصميمية بين الوعي والمشاعر، كان السبب في وقوعنا في فخ الدوران حول الهزيمة؟!...
ترى هل تحول هذا الدوران، مع الزمن، إلى ما يشبه دوران كهنوتي، يعبر عن الحاجة للتطهر أمام هذه الانظمة التي لم تتغير...؟!...
بالإضافة لذلك، أعتقد أننا، كجيل سينمائي، قد وقعنا أيضاً في شباك العديد من الأوهام؛ على سبيل المثال: الوهم بقدرة السينما على مواجهة الأنظمة! وعلى أنها قادرة على أن تفعل، وتحقق ما هو ليس في طاقتها أساساً...!.
كذلك الوهم بأن الفيلم يجب أن يكون تعبيراً عن الأوجاع العامة! ولأن الوجع العام كان عميقاً وكبيراً، فقد وجدنا في شرخ الهزيمة متكئاً دائماً...
اليوم؟!... هل نريد أن نخرج من هذا الدوران؟!... هل نريد أن نتحرر من أنفسنا!... وأن نتجاوز تلوثنا بشرانق التجربة التي عشناها كجيل...
