محمد ملص (ولد عام 1945 م) هو مخرج سنيمائي سوري.
ولد ملص في مدينة القنيطرة.
عمل مدرسا من سنة 1965 إلى 1968.
ثم تخرج عام 1974 من كلية موسكو لافلام.
حصل ملص على جوائز عديدة وقد تم تكريمه أيضا في عدة مهرجانات منها مهرجان قرطاج وبيروت ودمشق ومهرجان الشاشة العربية المستقلة.

لمعت في ستينيّات القرن المنصرم أسماء لا نعرف عنها الكثير. جيلٌ كامل ممّن حلموا، وأنتجوا، وناضلوا، كلًّا بطريقته في هذه البقعة من العالم، حيث مخاضٌ لا ينتهي. منهم من حمل بندقيّة، منهم من لوّح بقلم ومنهم من حاول التحريض على الواقع عبر توثيقه على شاشة.
مؤلّف هذا الكتاب وبطله بحّاران في سفينة واحدة. رفيقا «كاميرا» في أوطان تحكمها سلطة تبدأ بالرقيب وتنتهي بالمواطن/الأب. من خلال قيس الزبيدي، ذلك العراقيّ السوريّ الفلسطينيّ اللبنانيّ البرلينيّ، العربيّ الذي ساهم في تأسيس السينما التسجيليّة العربيّة وتطويرها، يستحضر محمّد ملص جيل الأمس بشخوصه، وأحلامه، ومحاولاته، وانكساراته.
يستعيد المَشاهد التي جمعته بالزبيدي، اللقطات التي تعاونا فيها لإنجاز عمل مشترك، ولحظات الصفاء التي باح فيها قيس بهموم المهنة والأوطان وحكى فيها عن نفسه، خلف الكاميرا لا أمامها.
هذا الكتاب ليس سيرة سينمائيّة للزبيدي وملص ورفقاء جيلهما فحسب، بل إنّه وثيقة عمّا حدث ذات يوم، في تاريخ صناعة السينما العربيّة وتطوّرها.
