واليوم بين يدينا سفر جليل، وتاريخ فريد بما يضمه بين دفتيه من أخبار معاصرة لكاتبة الراهب الزوقنيني (775) والمنحول لديونيسيوس التلمحري البطريرك (818-845) الذي ضاع كتابه واختفى بين أحداث الزمن المرير، وقد حفظ قسماً منه البطريرك ميخائيل السرياني الكبير في تاريخه المشهور.
