من المعلوم أن قصة (آدم وحواء) عليهما السلام التي تضمنتها التوراة المعاصرة قد شوهت أذهان البشرية بما تضمنته من مزاعم تهافتت بالمعايير العلمية الحديثة. ويرى مؤلفو هذا الكتاب بأن المفسرين القدماء تأثروا بتلك الأفكار التوراتية، الذين فسّروا الآيات القرآنية، بما يوحي أنها تحمل نفس المعطيات. فلم يتدبروا الآيات بأصول تفسيرها، وعاد الباحثون ينظرون إلى القرآن الكريم بنفس ما ينظرون به إلى المزاعم التي أتت بها مزاعم كتّاب التوراة المعاصرة، ظانين أن القرآن يقول أيضاً أن آدم وحواء عليهما السلام كانا أول خلق الله.
وقد اكتشف المؤلف بأن هناك ملابسات ومغالطات منسوبة إلى القرآن الكريم، والذي يتبين له، وبنتيجة إعادة النظر بالمتوارث أن القرآن الكريم، الذي بقي سالماً من كل عبث، لا تؤيد آياته مزاعم سفر التكوين من التوراة المعاصرة بشكل من الأشكال. بل على العكس من ذلك فإن آيات القرآن شرحت قصة آدم، وبما يتوافق مع المعطيات العلمية، وبما لا يخالف المنطق والعقل السليم.
وقد قام المؤلف بإعادة النظر بمعطيات الآيات القرآنية من خلال العودة إلى كتاب الله تعالى، القرآن الكريم كمرجع أساسي لكل عقيدة إسلامية، هذا من جهة، ومن جهة أخرى قام بدراسة المعطيات العلمية التي توصل إليها أصحاب علم المستحاثات وبشكل موضوعي حمل إشارات الرضى التام من قبل أصحاب ذلك العلم. وقد توصل من خلال ذلك كله إلى نتائج جديدة تقدم تصوراً محايداً قد يفضي إلى حسم الصراع الفكري الذي خلفته التوراة المعاصرة والنظرية الداروينية.
