كان لابد من وقفة لتأمل حال هؤلاء الأعلام الذين أشهور إسلامهم. هل من الممكن أن يكونوا فعلوا ذلك بحثا عن شهرة أو منصب؟ أم أنهم فضلوا اتباع دين الحق؟ لو تأملت سيرتهم. لاكتشفت واقتنعت أن دافعهم الأساسى هو أنهم آمنوا بأن الحق أن يتبع. لم يعبأ بمكانتهم الاجتماعية وشهرتهم العلمية.. ولم يكترثوا بما سيواجهونه من مشكلات مقابل إسلامهم.
دخلوا الإسلام بعد دراسة مستفيضة وبعد أن تعمقوا فى المقارنة.. تأكدوا بما لايقبل الشك- كل فى مجاله- بأن الإسلام هو الدين الحق. الشهرة أو المنصب أو الوضع الاجتماعى.. كل ذلك لم يمنعهم من إعلان إسلامهم.. بعد أن أدركوا أنهم راحلون من هذه الدنيا مهما بلغوا من العلو.. والأهم من ذلك كله, هو أن هؤلاء العلماء والأعلام مهدوا الطريق لآخرين للدخول فى الإسلام. وعلى هذا, اقتفينا أثر هؤلاء..
حاولنا قدر إمكاننا أن نعرف المزيد عنهم, ونقدمه للقارئ بشكل راعينا أن يكون بسيطا, لا هدف لنا غير إضاءة شمعة وسط كل الظلمات التى تحيك بعالمنا الإسلامى.. حاولنا أيضا أن نقدم شيئا ردا على ما يتعرض له ديننا ونبينا من إساءات. ونأمل أن نكون قد وفقنا.. والحكم للقارئ الباحث عن الحق فى زمن انتشر به الباطل.
وحاولنا أن نهمس فى أذن كل ضال يسعى إلى الهداية.. وكل حزين يبحث عن السعادة.. وكل عاص يتمنى التوبة.. وكل أمة تعيش على أفكار ومعتقدات زائفة تسوقها إلى النار لتكون مصيرها الأبدى.. وهى لا تدرى. تلك مجموعة من قصص رجال آمنوا بربهم فزادهم الله هدى, أغلبها يرويها أصحابها بألسنتهم قائلين للناس: "ذلك الدين القيم ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون". والأمر, من قبل ومن بعد, لله سبحانه وتعالى.
