وأمامنا الآن التجربة الدِّيُنية الهندوسية، من خلال كتابها المقدّس "فيدا" الذي يعدّه الهندوس مصدر عقائدهم الدِّيْنية، وهو ليس أقدم شكل من أشكال الأدب السنسكريتي فقط، بل هو أقدم نصّ ديني متكامل في العالم.
ومن خلال "فيدا" سنتعرّف إلى ثقافات الهند، وأفكارها، وتطور آدابها، وعلى معتقداتهم الدِّيْنية، وتصوّرهم للإله، ونظرية حلوله في كل ما خلق، أو وحدة الوجود، وفلسفة الإشراق "النيرفانا" وتكرّر الولادات، ونظام إنتقال الروح بالتقمّص، وعبادة اليوغا التي تهدف لتسهيل خلاص الروح من الجسد، وسنلاحظ كم هو مجحف التقسيم الطبقي للمجتمع الهندوسي الفرد من نوعه في العالم.
