لذا، حاول مؤلفو هذا الكتاب إعطاء صورة واضحة وشاملة وصحيحة عن واقع الهندوسية بفضل إلمامهم باللغتين السَنْسْكْرِتية والهندية والزيارات المتكررة إلى الهند والممارسات الطويلة لما تعلّمه الهندوسية، كل هذا مكّنهم من فهم التراث الهندوسي من الداخل وجعل النصوص المترجمة وفيّة للأصل مما جعل هذا الكتاب الأول والرائد في اللغة العربية من حيث الموضوعية والشمولية إذ نقلوا هذا التراث كما يراه الهنود أنفسهم، إحتراماً للهندوسية وللقارئ.
وبناءً عليه، يصحّح هذا الكتاب الأفكار الخاطئة السائدة في البلدان العربية في ما يتعلّق بالهند والهندوسية، ويتوجّه إلى القراء المثّقفين عامة وإلى المريدين والباحثين خاصة، ويقدّم المراجع الضرورية والهيكلية للدراسات الهندية التي تساعد في إستمرارية البحث الفكري ودخول الهندولوجية إلى الجامعات العربية.
